ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
FROM INDIA AND NEPAL


Arrangements have been made to provide the participants from India and Nepal simple and cheaper accommodation in hostels, besides special rates in Indian Rupees for hotels, Registration Fee and Post-Conference Excursions. Participants are requested to read carefully the following information.

NOTE: The fee does not include travel from Delhi to Nainital and back. It will cost Rs 400 per person each way (total Rs 800) if the participants wish to travel by deluxe coaches with other overseas participants. This includes cost of lunch during the travel.

Accommodation

A limited number of double (2-bed) rooms have been reserved for the participants in the hostel of the Centre for Development Studies (C.D.S., U.P. Academy of Administration) in Nainital. Similarly, a few beds will be available in the dormitory of the Tourist Centres of Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam. The rooms will be reserved on "first-come first-served" basis and only after receiving the amount for one day's stay. The rates are as under:

Notes:

1. These rates are for Bed and Breakfast only, and include of all taxes & Service Charges.
2. Rates for Hotel Manu Maharani include Dinner (non-vegetarian).
3. Normal check-in and check-out time is 1200 noon.

All participants must fill in the Form for Accommodation and Post-Conference Tours. Those requesting rooms in C.D.S. Hostel or a Dormitory bed only should send the forms to Prof. S.P. Singh in Nainital (address on p. 12 of the Second Circular).


Post-Conference Excursion

The cost of excursion to Bharatpur and Agra will be Rs 2500 per person. The participants will stay in Hotel Saras of Rajasthan Tourism Development Corp, outside the Park, and will share a 2-bed room. Single accommodation will not be available.


Participants Without Scientific Contribution

Participants who wish to attend the Conference without a formal scientific contribution but want to avail all other facilities, should send their completed Registration Forms to Dr K.K. Vass (address on p. 12).



Exhibition

Publishers, Booksellers and Manufacturers of equipment, etc. (including participants) who wish to exhibit their publications and products at the Conference, should contact Dr K.K. Vass (address on p. 12). Display without permission shall not be allowed.

Accommodation in Delhi

Indian participants traveling through Delhi should make their own arrangements for stay in Delhi, if required. The Organising Committee or the Official Travel Agent shall NOT be able to assist with train or bus reservations, if any, in any case.
